The building hosting Hotel Central Park was originally built in 1897 by Josef B. Teusch, a Sighisoara born business man. It served as a home and a business for more than 50 years. When Communist forces came into power, the house was nationalized. Over the years, due to its impressive look, it hosted various government offices: the City Finances, the Police, and others. After 1990, many of the newly formed political parties held offices in the building.
This blog documents the 3 year process of transforming Josef B. Teusch’s building into a boutique hotel. We worked hard to keep its charming features, restoring the worn façade and rearranging the space to best fit the hotel’s 33 rooms.
Each room has its own design, color, shape and furniture style. From the grand look of the first floor rooms to the warm and quaint—yet elegant—design of the attic rooms, we are sure you will find the room that fits you best!
